About Us

"An old teacher of mine felt that people underestimate how difficult it is to draw a horse. As a result, they often come out looking like dogs. There are many unseen difficulties in game development. Our job is to ensure your horses look like horses and your dogs look like dogs."

After spending years working at studios and witnessing the same problems arise repeatedly, we founded DogHorse Studios to help you navigate these challenges and get your project off to a strong start.

Jason Minor
PRESIDENT, DOGHORSE STUDIOS

For over 30 years, Jason has helped develop more than 20 Video Game projects, from some of the biggest IPs in the industry to small, independent labors of love. As an Art Director, Jason contributed to the expansion of the Star Wars franchise with Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars the Old Republic. He also helped create the 4v1 combat game Breach, two VR games, and an AR training simulator for police departments.

Jason has experience in multiple art disciplines, including Concept, UI Design, Environment art, and Character art. He has a solid traditional foundation in graphic design and comic book art. Jason has managed art teams for over 15 years and possesses strong leadership skills. He has led outsourcing departments, served as an art producer, and built art teams—and whole projects—from the ground up.
